Birthday Girl!

It is now currently 4 days after my birthday and i have not finished this blog, oh dear. Anyway onwards and upwards...
If you haven't already guessed from the title, it is indeed my birthday! Yes my sweet sixteen has finally arrived after due course. The weeks running up to my birthday, I have not been excited at all, but now the day has finally arrived, my body is tingling and overwhelmed with excitement!

So after spending much of night awake, as i was high on caffeine after finishing off a big bottle of coke. I think I finally fell asleep around 4am, not good :s. I was woken by my dad at 7am as both my parents had to go off to work but wanted to wish me a Happy Birthday and watch me open my cards (i don't know, its a tradition in my family). I then got ready to go out for a cheeky trip to CADBURY'S WORLD courtesy of my best friend Caitlin. We met my friends Lucy and Katie at the train station but I won't go into much detail about that as they were just going to town. Caitlin bought a cute special breakfast for the train journey of Cookies and Cream cupcakes and my favourite drink ever Dr Pepper.
We arrived at Bourneville and bolted off the train and were too excited for words! Getting free chocolate and learning about history, it was perfect. Me and Caitlin are kind of a bit nerdy and thrive for education so the History aspect was not boring at all! So i'll crack on and show you a few sneaky snaps i took.

This is my favourite photo of the day! It was a green screen effect one and I love it some much as Caitlin was wearing a green skirt and so therefore it has gone invisible. It really sums up our 13 year friendship!

 

So on the evening, I wasn't too sure as to what was happening. I had been told to meet Caitlin at half 7 and then we were walking to a restaurant to meet her Dad to go someone else which was a surprise. Even though we were meeting him at my favourite restaurant, i didn't clock on that all my friends would be waiting inside to surprise me, well done me! Here are a few photos of my fabulous birthday surprise meal.

It was the most amazing birthday and I honestly have no idea how the girls pulled it off lying to me. However i'm glad they did as it was perfect!

New Look Haul, June 2013

Oooo my very first haul, exciting! So recently I have been to New Look a few times and of course, I don't think it is possible to leave this shop without buying something especially during Summer. I went today just to return an item I had bought previously and ended up leaving with a bag full of goodies. The reason I tend to favour New Look so much is that it is reasonably cheap and good quality clothing but anyway I shall crack on and show you my new items.

Grey acid wash skirt £16.99

 

This skirt is really me. Firstly its a skater skirt and these are the skirt style I always tend to lean towards as they suit my figure. I saw this one today and really liked it as I love acid wash and it is different to any other skater skirt I have seen.

 

 

Neon Green keyhole crop top £12.99

 

Pictured this top looks yellow but it actually is neon green and omg I cannot begin to explain my love for this colour at the moment! Its from the cameo rose collection so therefore is a little more expensive than the normal crop tops in new look.

I really like this top, its colourful, its flowy and swingy (i know, great descriptive words) its something different, and I just really liked it and had to pick it up. New look have loads of these swing crop tops in at the moment, with some beautiful white or black lace ones and some colourful ones like this, so if you like what you see go check them out!

I bought this last week and I really do like it! At the moment, my favourite things are pinafores and dungaree dresses. I just think they are so beautiful and this one especially is perfect for summer. I bought a white crop t-shirt along with it but silly me got that dirty so it couldn't be pictured but i will link it below.

This top is really comfy and really versatile and i love the simple buttoned detailing on the shoulders.

Summer Lovin'

I've done the introductions, so now I thought I would let you in on a bit of my lifestyle and what i've been up to lately during my summer. Wednesday was my friend Lucy's 16th birthday so therefore to celebrate we took a little trip to our local park with our picnics in hand ready to have a blast. The day as a whole was really sweet and the weather really made it perfect. The weather here recently has been up and down, and we haven't had a great deal amount of sun so the day was very special as the sun made an apperance. However of course it is England so it was still a bit chilly now and then. So here are a few snaps of our lovely afternoon...

Title

Its been a few days so I thought I better create a new blog. The truth is, I didn't realise I had published my first blog yet, oops. Anyway onwards and upwards.

So I thought, if there is anyone that actually has read my first blog, you may wonder why the name of my blog is Naivety. To be honest, I couldn't think of a name. My tumblr name is also Naivety so I thought, why not? I created my tumblr at the start of this year if i remember correctly and it was a random thing that I did with my friend whom was tumblr mad and wanted to share this craze with me. Admittedly I also became obsessed. That seems to be the way lately. Many new tumblr's seem to be obsessed when they first join, and understandably. Tumblr is addictive. You can spend hours scrolling down your tumblr dashboard checking out the crazy pictures and reblogging anything random.

When creating my tumblr, my friend asked me what i wanted to call it. I had no clue and I just sat there for ages thinking whilst staring into space. During this time my friend had chosen a name for my tumblr, Naivety. The reason for this was that i was sitting there thinking whilst singing Naive by the Kooks. I actually really liked this name as I felt like it described me well. I am 15 years old and i'm young and truth be told I am probably naive to a number of things.
Therefore I stuck with it and decided to call my blog Naivety too. So they you go, the story behind my blog name.

Welcome

Hi guys, and welcome to my blog.

If i'm honest, I don't suppose anyone will be ready this but the reason for me starting this blog was to kinda try it out and see how it goes, even if it doesn't go anyway, i can say 'at least i tried'.
So here goes...

Hello there, my name is Ellie, i'm 15 years old and I am just your run of the mill, typical teenage girl - you know the kind that loves music, fashion and beauty. I was born 1st July 1997 and I live in Birmingham. Although I have two older brothers and two older sisters (yes i am indeed the "baby" of the family) I live at home with parents and my nan as all my siblings have flown the nest and live elsewhere in England.

This blog, was 100% a spur of the moment idea. I'm not saying I haven't thought about it before, but tonight I was just sitting there on my laptop on bloglovin reading all my favourite bloggers, and just thought, why not? It is quite strange sitting here typing about my life and what not, thinking people may or may not read this.

Earlier this year, just before my GCSE's started, I got extremely interested in Youtube and fashion/beauty gurus along with the funny youtubers.Yes, this was not a great time to get hooked as many hours spent watching youtubers, could have been spent revising, but hey ho. Anyway, this often made me think about creating my own blog, however I honestly thought it was a long shot. But here i am (cray cray right!?)

So now I have finished my GCSE's (can i get a woo woo!?) and have 11-12 weeks off school, I thought what better to do than to fill my boredom with this blog (it has been 2 days, and i am already bored) writing about my summer, friends, beauty and everything else. Yeah, so enough rambling now...

If you have actually read this blog post, a huge thank you, it really means a lot. I know i am probably not the greatest at this as i often go off on tangents and ramble a lot but whats the harm in trying and hopefully improving.
